With an eye for cultivating exceptional talent, Margaret Selby manages the careers of major choreographers, dance companies and theatrical events, supporting performance and touring around the world. Having built a successful artist management division from the ground up, her personal care and vision combined with longstanding international relationships and astute business skills, make her an invaluable partner of artists and presenters.
After her first jobs in artist management at CAMI (Columbia Artists Management Inc.) and APA (Agency for the Performing Arts), Selby ventured into public television first with The Children’s Television Network (now Sesame Workshop) and then with the Peabody/Emmy Award-winning series Great Performances: Dance in America. Selby studied dance and music from the age of three and continued her passion for both while working at WNET, absorbing every type of dance America had to offer. Subjects of her programs and documentaries include Mikhail Baryshnikov, Twyla Tharp, Bob Fosse, Alvin Ailey, New York City Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, Mark Morris, Garth Fagan, and Ulysses Dove. Prior to working at WNET Selby worked on live TV productions , including The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and Daytime Emmys for NBC and CBS as well as projects for A&E, Lifetime and USA Networks.

Ianthe Demos (Vice President) has worked with Margaret Selby since 2001, producing, company managing and booking touring dates for Selby Artists Mgmt LLC’s incredible roster of artists. In addition to supporting Selby/Artists Mgmt Ianthe is the Artistic Director of One Year Lease Theater Company (OYL). Her directing has been described as “dynamic” (Charles Isherwood, The New York Times, Critic’s Pick) “theatrical witchcraft” (Scott Brown, New York Magazine), “riveting theater” (Ed Siegel, Boston’s NPR), “playfully poisonous” (Terry Byrne, Boston Globe), “a gleaming portrait of our collective contemporary existence”(Andy Propst, American Theater Web) and “a celebration of theatrical energy” (Gerald Berkowitz, The Stage). Interested in the intersection of theater and education, Ianthe has served as a guest director and teacher at Vassar College, Harvard University and PACE.
Emily Andrews (Contracts and Artist Services Coordinator) brings her keen eye and attention to details to the contractual needs and touring logistics for both artists and presenters. She also contributes to Selby Artists’ digital branding and curating of social media platforms. Emily graduated cum laude from State University of New York at Geneseo with a BA in English Literature and a minor in Dance Studies. Her passion for dance sparked at age three when she began her training at Westchester Theater Dance Academy. Throughout her education she has taught, choreographed, and assistant directed various university and community dance productions and programs. Prior to her work in artists management, Emily worked as a paralegal at Morvillo Abramowitz Grand Iason and Anello PC. Emily began working with Margaret in June of 2015.
Todd Burnsed (Booking Associate) began working with Margaret Selby in 2014 after touring the globe for twenty years as a performer. Now with Selby/Artists MGMT, Todd is the Booking Associate for the Eastern and Midwestern United States. During his career as a dancer Todd worked extensively with Moses Pendleton’s MOMIX, Jessica Lang Dance, where he also served as the company’s social media and marketing manager, The Metropolitan Opera at Lincoln Center and on Broadway with Twyla Tharp, among others. Todd is a graduate of The Juilliard School where he received his BFA.
Caroline Labreche (Junior Booking Associate) is a recent BFA graduate and Communications minor from Florida State University, cum laude. During her time at Florida State, she had the privilege to work closely with the Maggie Allesee National Center for Choreography. Her studies led her to engage in internships with Gibney Dance and Battery Dance Company in New York City. She is also a freelance dancer/choreographer in the city, where her choreographic work explores the fusion of modern dance styles with mixed theater forms while studying human behavior. Caroline is excited to start working with Selby/Artists MGMT!
Danielle McFall (Special Projects) began working for Margaret Selby in 2014 at CAMI Spectrum. Now with Selby/Artists MGMT, she works on special projects. Prior to joining Selby’s team, Danielle served as Company Manager at the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Company. Danielle began her career performing with Hartford Ballet and spent ten years touring the globe with MOMIX. After a distinguished career in the field of dance, Danielle was selected by the Kennedy Center and Brooklyn Academy of Music to be part their inaugural Performers in Transition to Arts Management Fellowship. Danielle holds a BFA from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.
